ZSO to be established by spring 2016
The establishment of the Community of Serbian Municipalities (ZSO) is advancing according to plan, and spring 2016 is the final date when it is expected to be constituted, said the Director of Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Đurić.
ZSO is a community which should help people lead a better life, said Đurić, noting that Serbs and ethnic Albanians have a future together and can only be successful through mutual cooperation.
He estimated that using the ZSO to intimidate ethnic Albanians is a highly irresponsible behavior since such messages only further the drift between Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija.
Đurić said that one of the main reasons for the establishment of the ZSO is promoting a strong economy. "This is in fact our reason for coming together, and not to cause any harm or problems to anyone", he stressed.
Director Đurić also noted that other enclaves located in municipalities where Serbs are not a majority will be institutionally linked in such a way that they will be able to freely use the means provided by the ZSO.
