Marko Đurić, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, said in Gračanica that every agreement on the Community of Serbian Municipalities reached by the Serbian Government in Brussels would bring more to the Serbs in the Province than they had now.
“Rest assured that the Belgrade delegation, the Prime Minister and the President of Serbia, working jointly with our holy Church, will do their utmost to ensure the survival and persistence of Serbia and the Serbian people in this holy land,” Đurić told the press during the celebration of St. Vitus Day in Gračanica.
To his “Serbian brothers and sisters” he offered his best wishes on this holiday, when we recall “all our martyrs who have given their lives for the freedom and honour of the Serbian kindred over many centuries”.
“On St. Vitus Day we should pray for the Serbian people's present, future and past, pray that we make no mistakes and do no harm, pray for our enemies as well, as is customary among us Serbs, wish for a better life for all the people here and for the return of the banished, and wish that the Serbs and the Albanians, who I believe are mostly committed to a normal, peaceful life, may find a common ground, which is where we will focus our energies in the negotiations,” Đurić stated.
