Serbia, its institutions and special bodies are willing to help bring the criminals of the terrorist Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) to justice, Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Đuric has said.
Commenting on Monday's adoption in the Kosovo assembly of the amendments that should facilitate the establishment of a special court to prosecute war crimes committed by the KLA, Đuric told Tanjug that Serbia would learn about the composition, jurisdiction and scope of activities of the future international court.
Đuric said he did not believe that the institutions and politicians from Pristina who had voted in favor of setting up the court were truly sincere, as they had had plenty of opportunities over the previous 15 years to bring the terrorist KLA criminals to justice.
“Not only had they not done that but we could see witnesses being persecuted, intimidated and murdered over that period. We know well the personal and political history of some of those who voted for the establishment of this court,” said Đuric.
