Serbia cannot and shall not be forced to do something that is contrary to its interest, Director of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Đurić said commenting on the draft negotiating Chapter 35 which covers Kosovo and Metohija.
In a statement for the Belgrade-based Television B92 on Saturday, Đurić confirmed that the draft platform for Chapter 35 in fact assumes the outcome of the Belgrade-Pristina talks.
He confirmed the media reports according to which the draft platform requires for Serbia to hand over hydro-electric power plant Gazivode near Zubin Potok to Priština, and for the administrative crossings to be abandoned so that border crossings could be introduced instead.
Serious diplomatic activity is underway and nobody can force us to do something we do not want to do and do not find pursuant to Serbia’s interests, Đurić said.
