The assault on the house in Goraždevac, the home to a seven-year old girl, is an attack on the entire Serbian people living in Kosovo and Metohija, stated the Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić today, underscoring it as a bad and disturbing piece of news, and adding that he expects a serious approach to this matter by the competent international representatives.
The PM announced his plans to discuss this development with several international officials already today.
“This constitutes an attack on the entire Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, since several shots were fired at a house which is a home to a seven-year old girl“, the Prime Minister told the press, not wishing to, as he said, go into more details on a more commonplace aspect of the assault – the desecration of Serbian monuments.
“I expect nothing from Priština, but I do expect the international actors to undertake measures in line with their competences and provide protection to the Serbs in this part of Metohija, but also across Kosovo and Metohija,” stated the Prime Minister.
The government of Serbia will dispatch a delegation to visit the Serbs in Goraždevac, and the Prime Minister will soon personally visit Goraždevac and other places in Kosovo and Metohija.
“It is my intention to encourage these people to remain there, and it is our job to ensure their safety,” said Vučić, adding that this is a disturbing and very bad piece of news, and expressing his confidence that the responsible actors in the international community would take a serious approach towards resolving this issue.
