The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Đurić was recognized as the "Best Young Politician in the Region" by the European Movement Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Recognition came on the occasion of the Europe Day in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The president of this movement, Predrag Praštalo, stated that this award recognizes prominent political leaders and that Đurić is the most striking figure, not only in Serbia but also in the region.
He added that Đurić now performs a very important function which reflectes both on Serbia's advance towards the EU and on teh regional cooperation.
"Peace and stability not only in Serbia, but also in the region, depend on your work," Praštalo said.
Marko Đurić expressed his appreciation for the award and said that politics "must be an honorable profession", and that he belongs to a generation that is not burdened with hatred and wishes to improve regional relations.
"I invite all young people to get involved in political life and take matters into their own hands," said Đurić.
Branko Ružić and Nenad Borovčanin are among the politicians who received this recognition in the previous years.
