The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djurić, criticized today the comments made by certain Albanian politicians regarding Ratko Mladić’s judgment, saying they resembled tribal calls rather than serious politics.
At the same time, the fact that some of those politicians remain at large, Djurić sees as best evidence of the international judiciary’s work.
“This best speaks about the result of the work of such international judiciary against Serbs and Serbian victims. We will not forget Serbian victims or the fact that 247,000 of our fellow countryman have been expelled from Kosovo and Metohija and that thousands of them are on the missing persons’ lists”, Djurić told reporters at the Palace of Serbia.
He said that he simply “rejects” the comments made yesterday by people from Albanian political life.
“Their comments resemble tribal calls rather than serious politics, attempts to further humiliate Serbian people in already difficult conditions”, Djurić said.
All those who have lost a family member have the right to ask what has happened with their loved ones, Djurić said, stressing: “We will never give up on prosecuting those who are responsible for war crimes in Kosovo and Metohija, regardless of what armchair they are sitting in or what their political function is”.
