The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djurić, sent today his condolences to the Bishop of Raška and Prizren and Kosovo and Metohija, Teodosije, on the occasion of the death of Mother Euphrosyne, the abbess of the Gračanica Monastery.
“On behalf of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija and in my name, I extend my sincere condolences to you and the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo and Metohija over the death of Mother Euphrosyne, Abbess of the Gračanica Monastery”, states the telegram of the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
According to Djurić, Mother Euphrosyne was a jewel of Orthodox spirituality, a reputable nun of high spiritual principles and exalted human work, and her death is a great loss for the monastic community and orthodox worshipers in Kosovo and Metohija.
“She was said to be one of the Kosovo pillars of Orthodoxy, the last offspring of what is called the original Christianity”, Djurić said.
