He also noted that it seems that Pristina does not intend to ensure the establishment of the CSM in accordance with the Brussels Agreement.

Đurić added that the Management Team is already working on drafting the Draft of the CSM Statute.

“This Statute will not be drafted in accordance with the internal acts and decisions of Pristina, but in accordance with the Brussels Agreement,“ Đurić told Radio-television Vojvodina.

According to him, the Brussels Agreement clearly and unequivocally foresees the need to adjust legislation frameworks in order to ensure a legal basis for the functioning of the CSM.

“The Brussels Agreement clearly states that two sides must prepare a list of regulations to be amended. Pristina has a clear obligation to change its legislation, because its applicable legislative framework does not provide for the establishment of a Community. Now I don’t think that Pristina actually intends to do it, and I wonder why they negotiated with us in the first place,“ Đurić said.

As he noted, citizens need to be informed about the situation regarding the Kosovo-Metohija issue, about who works contrary to the interests of Serbia, „who does not support our position and instead supports the Albanian position“.

The Director of the Kosovo Office pointed out that the representatives of Serbia should continue to hold talks with the influential countries, even when such talks are extremely difficult.

Asked about his opinion of the main message sent by Chancellor Angela Merkel at the meeting she held with President Aleksandar Vučić, where he also attended, Đurić said that the message lies in the very fact that it was sent from such an important place, and that the message was about the preservation of peace and stability, despite the fact that peace was jeopardized „by means of the behavior on the part of irresponsible politicians from the other side“.

He did not want to comment on the specifics of the talks with Chancellor Merkel stating that it would be unprofessional, but stressed that he was particularly pleased that the German Chancellor wanted to hear about it first hand from the President Vučić and Serbian representatives, in addition to all reports on events in Kosovo-Metohija on March 26.

“The services have informed me about what happened on March 26 in Kosovo and Metohija, but I trust the Serbian representatives and the president of Serbia about what actually happened and I want to hear about it from you,“ Đurić conveyed the words of the German Chancellor.

Asked to comment on Ramush Haradinaj's statement that he had sent Marko Đurić a mobile phone text message to come to Kosovska Mitrovica one the day later, instead of on March 26, when he was arrested, the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija said that on that day both he and Serbia received a clear message about how Pristina views the dialogue in Brussels and what is its position on the normal resolution of the issue of Kosovo.
