Any public statement of pretentions towards other countries’ territory constitutes a threat to the stability of the region, and inevitably brings about deterioration of inter-ethnic relations in Kosovo and Metohija.
With his latest provocation, the DPK official Rexhep Hoti has revived the fascist dreams of creating the so-called “Greater Albania”, but also of the so-called “green transversal” in the Balkans.
Instead of making threats with non-existent force, Hoti and his party colleagues should be focusing on why young people have been fleeing from this criminal and terrorist made creation, and massively heading for the West.
Rexhep Hoti’s warmongering rhetoric is based on a false image of own power, as well as the fear that there is a growing worldwide realization that providing support to the Albanian separatists in Kosovo and Metohija had been a mistake and that their criminal creation, based on violence and on breaches of international law, is unsustainable.
Serbia will continue to contribute constructively to the stability of the region and to work with the responsible part of the international community towards building a sustainable peace in this region.
